Ants are implemented!
I woke up this morning with a perfect notion for an enemy—bugs! Or at least, the sugar-loving kind of bug. Ants, as an example. I then spent my morning and most of my afternoon getting the model and animations down and setting it up in the game.
They're now customizable, about 90% finished (they still need to be able to hurt the player, but that has a dependency on the whole hurt-player mechanism and some of that is still up in the air), and available in the game. Hop on top of them to crush them.
It's worth noting that on Firefox, I do get occasional slowdowns which feel a bit like lag; the Firefox team is aware of this bug. It seems relatively minor, as you only have to deal with it once for each in-game event, but I recommend either downloading the desktop version, or trying it out on a different browser like Chrome, if it bothers you. As I learn more, I'll work to mitigate this.
