Time to add some more diversity!


I'm really liking how development is moving along, but I do have a clipboard of tasks to prioritize. One of them is progressing from region to region, and another is implementing some new music. Today was a major step along that first path, and for the second I've got a couple of brassy compositions in the works.

What was the progression? Well, rather than showing up in a random region each time you die, after sixty seconds of survival, the background will darken and transition you to a new region. This is effectively a leveling system, and it's going to be very useful in the near future. I actually have a few bosses designed, but bosses are generally opponents that show up after a set amount of progression; so first we'll need to have more of a "story mode" to the game.

Once I'm satisfied with my mix for the new music, I'll add a transition to that, too.

And, of course, there's one more surprise I tossed in; but I feel safe letting you guys find it on your own. Have fun!
