1.6—Better Stars


Stars are now drawn with a shader, that is, on your graphics card or chipset; and look much better. No longer are they brightly colored boring circles in the sky, now they have depth, and texture. They're also less of a demand on CPU.

I'm working on moving all sensible graphics code to the GPU at this point; there's no reason to leave it CPU side when graphics chips can do it better.

I may also reduce the size of the ship before the end of the day. It's the size of a quarter on some devices, and that's just unwieldy!
